Family at the Christmas tree farm
There is a new family at the Christmas Tree farm, and we’re so excited to meet you! As of 2024, Nat, Alex, Jack and Jared have passed custodianship of the farm to the Polanowski family.

Our names are Jade, Rohan & little Zoe, and we are the newly minted Christmas Tree farmers. We are a local family from Hobart, and we have a passion for joy and the gift of giving. We are bouncing with excitement and counting the days until Christmas this year.

Rohan has become the official Christmas Tree decorating specialist, and Jade has found her newest passion in the ride on lawn mower. Zoe is still deciding what she wants to be when she grows up … we secretly think that she’s leaning towards biccy taste tester.

We have lots and lots and lots (and lots!) of fun ideas of ways we’d love to grow the farm, and we hope that we continue the tradition of adding a sprinkle of magic to your family holiday with a beautiful live tree every year. You can find all the information about tree sales this year on our website, https://richmondchristmastreefarm.com.au/, or stay tuned to our socials where we post all the important information.

You can also sign up to our mailing list here https://richmondchristmastreefarm.com.au/sign-up/ to get updates straight to your inbox.

We can’t wait to see you this year at the farm!
Best wishes,
Jade, Rohan & Zoe

After an incredible 10 years of growing Christmas trees, Jared, Jack, Alex and Nat have passed custodianship of the farm to a new Tasmanian family. We are so excited to take the reins, and we can’t wait to see everyone at the farm this year.

We will be opening the farm gates once again in December 2024, bringing back the ever popular ‘elfie’ photo stand, and of course selling some beautiful Christmas trees.

You can read more about the amazing Mendham family story here or stay tuned to hear more about us and the future of the farm!

We’ve just wrapped up our 2023 collaboration with Clarence Sea Scouts. We teamed up with them for a fundraising pop-up Christmas tree shop, and it was awesome!

We appreciate your support this season and every year for the past decade. It’s been an incredible adventure, and we’re thrilled to have shared it with such an excellent bunch of Christmas tree fans.

We’re unsure what next Christmas will look like, but stay tuned. You can read more about what we’re up to below.

Thank you

Nat & Jared

After 10 years of growing Christmas trees for hundreds of awesome Tasmanian families, it’s time for us to hang up the tools and say goodbye to our beloved farm business.
This has been an incredibly tough decision to make. Our life is changing and we no longer have the resources to give it the 110% that the trees and you all deserve. Our boys are now teenagers and zooming through life faster than ever and both of our work lives beyond the farm are demanding on our time.
Closing this happy chapter of our lives has been an emotional one, but necessary for our physical and mental health and our family.
We’re looking forward to slowing down and making space for new adventures and time together.

Where to from here?
We’re not sure what 2024 will look like for the farm, but keep your eyes on our social media (Facebook and Instagram) to find out.

Thank you
An enormous thank you to all of you who have visited the farm over the years and to everyone who helped us to grow the best trees ever!
We’ve poured all our love, sweat, and tears into building something amazing, we’re so proud of what it has become and the fantastic following it has had.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey.
Love Nat, Jared, Alex, Jack and Flynn

Hello, we are Jared, Jack, Alex and Nat Mendham… and there’s also our greyhound x labrador, Flynn, is a one-dog-welcoming-committee at the farm.

Our boys were born in Canada, and while we lived there we embraced the tradition of choosing a real Christmas tree from a family farm just outside Vancouver each year. And so, we bought the idea home with us to Tasmania to share with you.

When we’re not tending to Christmas trees, Nat is a commercial photographer and Jared is a marketer in the tyre industry. And we’re proud to have established Southern Tasmanian first ‘choose-your-own’ Christmas tree farm.

In 2021 Kerry joined the team. She’s a hard working horticulturalist, dog lover and is always keen for a good chinwag. Be sure to say hi to her at our open days!

We’re looking forward to seeing you this Christmas!

Thank you for your supporting our farm.
